Job Description

Job Purpose
To drive product specification and approvals of construction chemicals by engaging with architects, consultants, PMC, structural engineers, and key influencers, ensuring inclusion of company products in tender documents, BOQs, and project specifications, thereby supporting long-term project conversions.
Key Responsibilities * Specification & Influencer Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, consultants, PMC, structural engineers, and government bodies.
• Get company products specified and approved in project drawings, tender documents, and BOQs.
• Conduct technical presentations, product demos, and CPD programs for influencers.
• Project Tracking & Conversion Support

• Identify and track key upcoming and ongoing projects (residential, commercial, infrastructure, industrial).
• Coordinate with sales and project teams to convert specified projects into actual business.
• Monitor specification status till order realization.
• Technical Marketing

• Support development of technical datasheets, method statements, system specifications, and case studies.
• Provide technical solutions for waterproofing, repair, flooring, adhesives, grouts, and protective coatings.
• Assist in value engineering discussions without compromising specifications.
• Market & Competitor Intelligence

• Track competitor specifications, approvals, and product positioning.
• Provide insights on consultant preferences, emerging standards, and market trends.
• Internal Coordination

• Work closely with Sales, R&D, QA, and Application teams.
• Support site trials, mock-ups, and technical validations when required.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of projects specified and approved
• Value of specified project pipeline
• Conversion ratio from specification to order
• Influencer engagement metrics (meetings, presentations, CPDs)

Desired Candidate Profile
Education

• B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (preferred)
• Post-graduate qualification is an added advantage

Experience

• 5-10 years in construction chemicals / building materials
• Strong exposure to specification sales and project marketing

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of construction chemicals
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to engage senior consultants and decision-makers
• Project-oriented mindset with commercial awareness
• Willingness to travel extensively
