Job Title Specialist, Technical Professional Services Transition of US Implementation roles to FGS as approved by George Wehbe What does a great Software Development Engineer - Conversions do The primary role for this position is to analyze and convert financial data from 3rd party applications to our Fiserv platform. You will work closely, both with an internal installation team and client personnel to gather needed artifacts in order to convert the data. You will work closely with other team members to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements and input data use. Our group creates a variety of programs existing at different levels of complexity as well as functionality. Conversions is a highly skilled dedicated team that performs data conversions and client technical support to clients moving from one core platform to another. During the project timeline, the programmers, analysts, and implementation teams are pared tightly with our clients to meet a successful go live date. What you will do: Review prior processor data and work with data analyst to create data conversion programs from prior core servicer to the new core. Projects are 4 to 6 months in duration. Evaluate client and analyst custom requests for data manipulation. Review current internal processes and procedures seeking efficiencies and quality improvement. Work with a project team comprised of programmers, data analysts, implementation specialists, project managers, and client to meet a targeted go live date. What you will need to have: Minimum of 3 years of relevant programming experience. Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Finance or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience. What would be great to have: Ideal traits include detail oriented, can communicate clearly, and works well in a team environment. Previous programming experience preferred Financial industry interest and experience desired Experience in PROGRESS/SQL Experience in AIX/UNIX Detailed understanding of the conversion process Dedication to quality and high-level customer satisfaction Weekend work is required for the live event, approximately 6 a year.
