Job Responsibilities: To plan, organize, strategize, and execute materials requirements at most competitive price in timely manner so as to meet business goals of business for assigned material categories. Deliver sourcing and procurement engagements in the areas of strategic cost reduction, sourcing optimization, procurement transformation, intelligent procurement using tools such as Ariba/Ivalua and SAP. Responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic sourcing and provide strategic leadership across the department covering both National & International suppliers. Develop long term and short-term sourcing strategy for assigned material categories. Plan, Lead and execute Cost effective sourcing of materials in a timely manner to avoid any supply disruptions to plant operations. Track and monitor market dynamics and leverage the same for cost effective sourcing in a proactive manner. Set up long term supply contracts. Selects, evaluates, and manages vendor partnerships. Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies. Plan and minimize Working capital in line with sales & production plans. Develop new vendors for new and existing materials. Support new business development. Review & execute actions in line with changes in demand & market dynamics. Ensure compliance to commercial & quality systems and faces audit and all audit related documentation and readiness. Continuous improvement in systems & processes for cost effective buying. Monitor trends in relevant value chain regarding prices, capacities and demands for raw materials contributing to 90% of material cost. Identify suitable INCO terms for cost effective procurement based on emerging ocean freight trends. Monitoring and timely liquidation of old non-moving and slow-moving RM stocks. Required Education and Experience: B.E. Chemicals preferred / B. Tech MBA or PG in relevant discipline preferred 8-10 years of professional experience in purchasing. Purchasing management and negotiation techniques related course would be an added advantage. Ability to assist business and customers in various situations. Good Communication Skills. Key Skills Required: Must possess sales and customer relation skills. Good problem solving and analytical skills and detail oriented. Ability to maintain professional conduct that exemplifies the corporate policies at all times, particularly when interacting directly with internal and external customers. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion. Proficient at multi-tasking. End to end independent handling of topics.
