We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Source to Contract – Data Specialist Role Purpose: We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Source to Contract – Data Specialist to join the Strategic Procurement Services (SPS), Operations, Source to Contract team. The Source to Contract – Data Specialist, Strategic Procurement Services, will support the Global Head of Source to Contract and the SPS functional S2C operational process activities, supporting both procurement and business users, as required. The role facilitates provision of S2C operational data analysis and performance measurement monitoring activities necessary to successfully support the end-to-end S2C process. The Source to Contract – Data Specialist will be responsible to provide S2C operational data analysis support via: generation of detailed operational data, analysis and MI, monitoring and governance, and ownership of key data initiatives to meet wider SPS and Global Business/Global Function S2C data requirements, as required.
As Source to Contract – Data Specialist, Strategic Procurement Services you will be responsible for:

  • Providing Source to Contract operational data, analysis and MI performance management and monitoring to the Strategic Procurement Services (SPS) function and Source to Contract process under the leadership of the Global Head of Source to Contract.
  • Providing S2C data subject matter expertise to the SPS function, supporting S2C operational data support activities and often leading/co-leading S2C data initiatives through to delivery.
  • Assisting SPS by providing detailed operational data, analysis and MI performance management and monitoring support to help drive opportunities and enhanced value benefits for the Global Businesses/Global Functions.
  • Providing data as per SPS and/or Global Businesses/Global Functions requirements, to support data understanding and enable follow up with data cleansing, root cause action and/or resolution.
  • Providing S2C data to support regulatory and legal programme deliveries, ensuring relevant scope identification and documentation/data as per requirements, as well as performance tracking/monitoring
  • Developing and maintaining related S2C Data and MI policies, procedures, monitoring and governance.
  • Providing S2C data, MI and operational performance reporting and detailed analysis to support oversight and improvement of global SPS Sourcing and Contract Management Performance and Controls.
  • Working under the guidance of the Global Head of Source to Contract.
Key Accountabilities - Impact on Business
  • Providing Source to Contract data and MI expertise in support of the monitoring of the performance of the end-to-end S2C process in order to maximise benefits delivered to HSBC.
  • Bringing knowledge, experience and sharing of best practices of S2C data, MI and operational performance – imparting knowledge, and share S2C operational performance with Global Businesses/Global Functions
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders across Source to Contract, SPS, our outsourced providers, and Legal teams as appropriate, to help deliver the SPS S2C data, MI and operational performance analysis.
Customers / Stakeholders
  • Providing a service and delivery culture, which supports business stakeholders to value the service provision of SPS, via performance monitoring of the Sourcing and Contract Management end-to-end process.
  • Customer focus; Develop and maintain strong and professional working relationships across S2C, within SPS, with Legal, and across the Global Businesses/Global Functions.
Ensure professional working relationships with vendor executive management/account teams, as appropriate during Sourcing and Contract Management data, MI and operational performance activities Major Challenges:
  • Support the build of S2C data and MI expertise across the SPS Function with a new Coupa S2C toolset
  • Encourage increased awareness, and capability within SPS and the Global Businesses and Functions considering S2C data and analysis, MI and operational performance
  • Develop and maintain a stakeholder network, globally across the Bank.
  • Providing data as per SPS and/or Global Businesses/Global Functions requirements, to support data understanding and enable them to follow up with data cleansing, root cause action and/or resolution.
  • Providing S2C data to support regulatory and legal programme deliveries, ensuring relevant scope identification and documentation/data as per requirements
Providing S2C data, MI and operational performance reporting and detailed analysis to support oversight and improvement of global SPS Sourcing and Contract Management Performance and Controls. Role Context: The role Source to Contract – Data Specialist, Strategic Procurement Services requires the role holder to:
  • Provide Source to Contract data and MI subject matter expertise to the function, often leading/co-leading S2C data and MI support initiatives and activities through to delivery.
  • Support day to day data, MI and operational performance monitoring, delivering against key objectives of the wider S2C global team.
  • Maintain awareness of industry best practice and emerging issues/challenges, ensuring that preferred suppliers are continually bringing best practice to the HSBC account.
  • Work under the guidance and provide support to the Global Head of Source to Contract
Management of Risk: Managing non-financial risks and controls: This includes define and enable, identify and assess, manage, aggregate and report, and govern in accordance with the Risk Management Framework: Managing Non-Financial Risks and Controls. Observation of Internal Controls: Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
Requirements
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications :
  • Financial services experience
  • Strong data and analytical skills, and operational performance MI design, development and monitoring
  • Procurement experience and subject matter expertise in the end-to-end Source to Contract process, with data and MI experience and proven results
  • Experience of various Source to Contract and Data and MI toolsets, Coupa and Tableau preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of Source to Contract and Data and MI strategic best practices
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation skills
