Who We Are Looking For:

AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Designer Engineer, Product Cost Optimization / BCC - Specialist.

Reporting to the PCO Manager, this individual will be responsible for developing cost optimization projects. Job holder will work cross-functionally with the Purchasing, Marketing, and Product Management teams to ensure alignment and understanding of all the initiatives/opportunities. Additionally, the Design Engineer will coordinate AGCO cost reduction initiatives in close collaboration with Site Directors, his/her peers and Platform Lead Engineers to ensure a successful and consolidated approach. The job holder will have strong collaboration with Engineering site Directors and respective Managers and Module Leads as well as additional stakeholders to ensure that:

1) Close collaboration with Purchasing in a global scale, to maximize the initiatives.

2) Strong knowledge of commodities associated to the machine\'s powertrain (e.g.: Front Axles, Tires & Wheel assemblies, Transmissions, Brakes & Hardwares, Engines, EAT, Cooling Systems, HVAC)

3) Work in a fashioned way using the most up-to-date tools for productivity such as, but not limited to:

a) BI (business intelligence) tools such as Tableau and PowerBI mainly.

b) Agile tools (Azure DevOps) as well as working based on Sprints and with Scrum call on a regular basis.

4) Drive the PCO pipeline linked to his/her commodities in a robust manner covering all necessary levers such as Insourcing, Resourcing, Design Change, BCC resourcing, Dual sourcing, Outsourcing.

5) All Technical requirements are well documented and adhered to AGCO\'s portfolio. 6) All initiatives are supported by sound Business Cases and that decision-making criteria must be in line with AGCO\'s goals.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and consolidate global PCO initiatives to achieve optimal cost and quality outcomes, while ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to maintain quality and reliability.
  • Develop cost optimization projects and work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Marketing, and Product Management teams to ensure alignment and understanding of all initiatives/opportunities.
  • Coordinate AGCO\'s cost reduction initiatives in close collaboration with Site Directors, peers, and Platform Lead Engineers to ensure a successful and consolidated approach.
  • Collaborate with Engineering site Directors, Managers, and Module Leads to ensure that technical requirements are well documented and adhered to AGCO\'s portfolio.
  • Work in a fashion using up-to-date tools for productivity such as BI tools like Tableau and PowerBI and Agile tools like Azure DevOps, as well as working based on sprints and with Scrum calls on a regular basis.

  • Develop and maintain a global PCO pipeline plan, linked to his/her global peers, which includes a consolidated view of all sites, brands and HP categories. Establish a communication channel and governance structure to keep all regions informed. Lead all necessary discussions among various delivery teams such as Engineering sites, Manufacturing sites, Purchasing teams, AGCO Power to ensure proper communication and actions are taken. Actively seek out new cost reduction opportunities, stay up-to-date on market benchmarks and best practices, and collaborate closely with PM and business teams. Think strategically, develop and maintain a global pipeline plan, and communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Possess a strong background in product cost optimization and experience on working cross-functional and multi-regions teams. Have a proven track record of delivering cost savings and implementing successful cost optimization initiatives.
What You Will Bring:
  • A bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in product cost optimization and working cross-functionally with teams in a global organization.
  • Project management skills, including experience with Agile methodologies and BI tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically to develop a global pipeline plan.
  • Understanding of powertrain commodities and machine design.
  • Ability to document technical requirements and ensure adherence to AGCO\'s portfolio.
  • Results-driven and motivated to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and reliability standards.
