Summary This position performs work requiring advanced knowledge which is predominantly intellectual in character and which routinely exercises discretion and judgment. The advanced knowledge is in a field of science or learning and gained through a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction, experience, and expertise acquired in the field. Scope This position serves as a material planning, purchasing, expediting, logistics or field purchasing team member who, with guidance from Purchasing Management, handles project material or non-project procurement support for an office, group of overhead departments or indirect procurement category. Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities . Manage critical material orders and/or supervise personnel at a mid management level with oversight from Material Management . Monitor and report supplier\'s performance toward completion of all deliverables in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the Purchase Order . Collaborate across all disciplines including Material Management, Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS)/Quality, Engineering, Project Data & Document Management (PDDM), and Construction . Act as liaison among Fluor, Supplier, and Client, as required . Generate documents, organize and manage files, and maintain tracking data and reports . Perform data entry proficiently in the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to facilitate project requirements . Conduct bid clarification, pre-award, post award suppler schedule/quality recovery meetings . Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility . Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines . Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines . Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff . Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards . Adhere to and support Fluor\'s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies . Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job . May need to travel to attend to business related matters . Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality . Other duties as assigned Basic Job Requirements . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and three (3) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to seven (7) years if non-degreed . Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors . Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job . Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines .
