Job Description


Responsibilities of a project engineer:

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure resource availability and allocation.

\xc2\xb7 Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.

\xc2\xb7 Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.

\xc2\xb7 Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.

\xc2\xb7 Report and escalate to management as needed.

\xc2\xb7 Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.

\xc2\xb7 Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.

\xc2\xb7 Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

\xc2\xb7 Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

\xc2\xb7 Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.

\xc2\xb7 Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.

\xc2\xb7 Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.

\xc2\xb7 Identify and create a string vendor base to support expansion plan.

Project Engineer requirements / Background:

The candidate would be integral part of the sales team function and should have the following traits & qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in project management & vendor management.
  • Bachelor\'s degree required, preferably in a technical, scientific, or engineering field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge with project management software tools like Autocad
  • Proven working experience in project management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various functional groups and peer business units.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence others.
  • Experience in qualitative marketing techniques such as customer/market segmentation, GAP analysis, SWOT analysis, and portfolio management.
  • Energetic leadership qualities with strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Self-directed, highly detail-oriented, organized, and flexible.
  • Driven by accountability and metrics.
