Key Responsibilities

:

Preparation of South Indian Cuisine

: Prepare authentic South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, rasam, and a variety of chutneys. Cook specialty dishes from different South Indian states (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana).

Food Quality and Hygiene

: Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. Follow food safety and hygiene protocols as per local health regulations.

Menu Development

: Assist in planning and developing traditional and fusion South Indian menus. Introduce seasonal and innovative dishes to attract customers.

Inventory Management

: Manage inventory for South Indian ingredients such as rice, lentils, spices, and condiments. Ensure timely procurement and minimize wastage.

Cooking Equipment

: Operate and maintain kitchen equipment like dosa tawa, idli steamers, and grinders.

Team Collaboration

: Work collaboratively with other chefs and kitchen staff. Train junior cooks in South Indian cooking techniques.

Qualifications and Skills

:

Proven experience as a South Indian cook (minimum 2-3 years). In-depth knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques and ingredients. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Requirements

:

Flexible to work on weekends and holidays. Physical stamina to handle kitchen duties.
