Job Description

The South Indian Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting authentic South Indian dishes, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation. The role requires expertise in traditional South Indian cooking methods and maintaining hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and cook a wide range of South Indian dishes such as idli, dosa, vada, sambar, rasam, upma, chutneys, and various regional specialties. Follow standard recipes and maintain the original taste and authenticity of dishes. Ensure food is prepared hygienically and meets quality standards. Maintain mise-en-place and ensure ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage. Maintain cleanliness of cooking area, equipment, and utensils. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation during service hours. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines as per FSSAI and hotel standards. Assist the Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and festival or themed promotions. Train and guide commis or junior cooks in South Indian cuisine preparation.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
