Job Description

The South Indian Commi is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic South Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and consistency in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities



Assist in the preparation and cooking of South Indian dishes such as Idli, Dosa, Vada, Uttapam, Pongal, Sambar, Rasam, Chutneys, etc. Ensure proper cutting, chopping, grinding, and mise-en-place as per menu requirements. Follow standard recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the South Indian section at all times. Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food items following FIFO procedures. Ensure all food items are prepared in a hygienic and timely manner. Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and special menu preparations. Monitor and minimize wastage. Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols as per hotel standards. Assist in buffet setup and live counters when required. Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any maintenance issues.

Skills & Requirements



Basic knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques and ingredients. Experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards. Willingness to learn and take guidance from senior chefs.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
