About you and this role

As a Sourcing Manager in our Logistics Purchasing team to be located in Mumbai, India, you will manage logistics purchasing activities in India across various modes of transport (i.e. Road, Warehouse, International Trade). Your role will create value for Dow by defining sourcing opportunities, developing and aligning sourcing strategies, leveraging supplier relationships, analyzing market conditions, and negotiating with suppliers and internal partners to optimize sustained value for Dow. Your role will require in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of the discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines which drives corporate initiatives on behalf of the purchasing team: sustainability & digitalization.

Responsibilities

Utilizes business acumen and leverages best practices to drive value from the market and influence stakeholders.

Responsible for the negotiation, execution and implementation of commercial agreements and related work processes in accordance with the strategies within the commercial area and/or geography.

Uses influential leadership to elevate the performance of the workgroup.

Active role in corporate initiatives: sustainability & digitalization.

Act as coach for the sourcing tactical team

Qualifications

Minimum bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business

5 to 7years of relevant work experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain/Logistics

Fluent in English

Preferred Skills

Solves complex problems.

Works independently, receives minimal guidance.

May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives.
