EngineeredSolutions of Atlas Copco Pune has evolved into a strong team focused on profitable & ambitious growth.
In order to further strengthen the ES Pune, we are looking for a competent person for Strategic Sourcing activities.

Your mission is to continuously improve the sourcing function of EngineeredSolutions, ACIL Pune by developing:

- a competitive supplier base for quality, cost and delivery performance for local as well global market

- supply chain resilience and sustainability (through dual sourcing, localization, ...)

- the sourcing department team and its members competence

- modern management tools (digitalization) to measure and follow up supplier performance, compliance with Atlas Copco requirements, etc.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop SMART STRATEGIC SOURCING team within EngineeredSolutions - Pune & align with global sourcing.
• Establish strategies for the project sourcing and also create potential new business partners (exclusive) for suitable long-term supplies. Evaluate the existing and potential suppliers to reduce purchase costs and improve delivery and quality supplies.
• Take full responsibility of Local and Global sourcing activities on behalf of EngineeredSolutions - Pune, concerning all products, including, Oil Free Screw, Oil Injection Screw, Piston compression system, Special CNG system, H2 Packages, Air Treatment (Dryers, gas generators, filters) Centrifugal compression system and EngineeredSolutions projects and products.
• Plan for compressor / dryer / N2 generator parts & accessories based on the manufacturing planning & scheduling. The parts include electric motors, diesel/ gas engines, steam turbines, fabricated parts, electrical panels, instrumentation etc...
• Implement the strategy and tactics of the Oil-free Air division and of the Product Company into a clear action plan for the EngineeredSolutions Pune sourcing department and follow up the implementation.
• Manage sourcing resources both for EngineeredSolutions Pune internal and the external supply base to realize objectives of project and department in an efficient way.
• Through detailed and accurate business and market analysis, determine, monitor, implement and adapt the most optimal sources of the goods and services required to meet the pre budget target. Sourcing strategy should be based on a balanced, optimised, agile and future ready supplier base.
• Identify and develop vendors who can supply products, services and materials of zero-defect quality at competitive price and at the right time.
• Continuously drive cost reduction initiatives to meet sourcing pre-post targets as per market evolution.
• Put in place and follow up procedure to ensure compliance to product specifications, quality, delivery ad cost expectations.
• Develop a team of cohesive, competent, committed, result oriented employees.
• Steer and guide the EngineeredSolutions Pune sourcing team to work with all other departments and suppliers to meet Project Specifications on total cost, timing, logistics and quality.
• Benchmark product or service of cost, quality, technology, payment terms and conditions, etc. among Group Product Companies to find potential benefits and to improve continuously through information exchange and interaction.
• Establish supplier management and logistic systems with the supplier, set up targets for in time delivery and follow-up, timely solve delivery issues in daily operation, develop supplier partnerships.
• Support ES proposal team proactively for getting faster technical as well as a better commercial quote from suppliers for nonstandard requirements. Back to back alignment to reduce cycle time and best pricing. Develop processes together with the selected suppliers for new commodities.
• Maintain a high focus on working capital by carefully manage assets, supplier payment and contract terms, MOQ and lead time and ensure that inventory and quality cost would be maintained as per given targets.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Project to ensure seamless deliveries of right material with right quality and exactly when it is required to keep delivery performance of the projects above 95%.
• Support Vendor evaluation, rating, development, quality improvement with zero defect initiative from SHEQ point of view and monitoring them as per group requirement
• Establish strong and knowledgeable expediting team to ensure on time and first time right product from various vendors to meet gap India business demand in coordination with various stakeholders
• Develop SQA process to improve supplier delivery, quality and processes.
• Support Engineering in product development activities.
• Work following the "The Way We do Things" and internal processes.
• Lead by example and contribute to build a culture that captures the core values and beliefs of the Atlas Copco Group.
• Comply at all times strictly with and implement the Atlas Copco "Code of Conduct".
• Safeguard integrity and transparency of operations and of the legal structure by making sure that FAM and BCOP of practices are understood and applied where relevant.

What we expect of you?

Experience requirements

1.Minimum 15 years of experience in sourcing in a manufacturing enterprise, with proven work record, team building and management experience at an international company is essential.

2. 8-10 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchase and vendor development.

3. Minimum 3 years of experience in a sourcing department as team leader or higher position.
4. Good negotiation and analytical skills, commercially astute and knowledgeable in contractual issues related to terms and conditions.
5. Strong drive and skills is cost saving, strong skills in supplier negotiation, payment terms, inventory control, delivery performance improvement and strong push in supplier quality improvement.

Knowledge

- Strong commercial contract conditions and supply chain management knowledge
-Sound knowledge in new supplier development, manufacturing process, global supply chain, planning and system will be an added advantage.

Educational requirements

- University degree in Engineering or equivalent in any discipline. PG in materials management preferred.
- Conversant in MS Excel, Power point. Be fluent English and other Indian languages
