Introduction: The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the technical delivery for medium to large scale regulatory projects in Barclays USCB. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with direct responsibility for the deliveries of the local team with an emphasis on strong cross-region collaboration. The role requires expert technical knowledge and strong banking skills in Data Architecture. The ideal candidate will be able to bring experience from previous lead developer position(s), with direct experience of end-to-end implementation, application development and project execution, ensuring that strategic key core principles are followed. The ideal candidate should be self-sufficient and pro-active in leading their work and provides a platform for best-practice processes for the team members. What will you be doing Working on data architecture with expertise in data management, governance and controls with ability to drive the solutions for Barclays customer and data journey Cooperating with various application teams across businesses to understand the data architecture needs and provide solutions Acting as subject matter expert on data architecture needs that designs, creates and deploys the models aligning with best practices standards defined within Understanding different architectural patterns and technologies like ETL, DWH, SOA, Micro services, Hadoop and Cloud Architecture Understanding various modelling paradigms like 3NF, NoSQL, Dimensional etc Technology selection for different areas within data architecture Barclays . Participating in solution design related to data design and usage by defining best practices, standards and road maps . Managing data definition, usage, quality, metrics for data attributes, data models and data dictionary and ensuring/ measuring to follow all the data architecture standards . Adapting to newest technologies and presenting applicable changes to help drive new initiatives . Collaborating and participating in discussions with business analysts, technical architects and technical leads to develop data models and data architecture flows . Facilitating and conduct design reviews internally and to other teams to present data strategy and the vision for data architecture What we\'re looking for: Delivery management experience with proven track record of managing large business and technical deliveries, ideally within the financial services sector with understanding of regulatory demands. Must be able to demonstrate senior stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills Demonstrable record of managing large engineering team effectively, and delivering within budgetary constraints, hiring and managing world class software engineers Self-motivated individual, willing to take / support key decisions to ensure projects are delivered successfully Skills that will help you in the role: Strong experience in Data modelling & Data architecture Experience in ER studio.
