BUK & BX - All locations We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date. Introduction: A lead Solution Architect, functionally reporting into the Head of Solution Architecture and Design, with a proven ability to develop, own and communicate an Architectural vision of an End to End application solution, whilst also managing and working with a team of Architects to develop that Architectural vision. What will you be doing . Ownership of the Architectural vision for Mortgages . Providing the technical perspective in discussions with the business . Driving the creation of Architecture artefacts to agreed timelines . Ensuring any solutions align to the overall Barclays UK technical strategy What we\'re looking for: . Experience of shaping and defining solutions across disparate technologies that enable resolution of a complex business issue with an appropriate and cost effective technology based solution. . Strong level of experience of IT software development and well-versed with Enterprise Level Design Patterns and Practices (for example Micro-service Architecture Patterns, Cloud Native, Event Driven, Resilient, High Performing, Secured and loosely coupled application architecture) . Experience of working with senior stakeholders to influence their thinking about what is possible through technology innovation. . Experience of working in a highly regulated environment. . Educational degree - B. Tech/BE Skills that will help you in the role : . Application/Infrastructure/Enterprise Architect training and certification, e.g. TOGAF. . Exposure to API design strategies both for internal and external customer usage. .
