What Success Looks Like In This Role The DWS Solution Architect for Field Services is responsible for driving the evolution of our field engineering services capabilities to enable Unisys to ensure effective onsite support is delivered to our clients and their workforce. Achieving our client\'s business outcomes is achieved through several channels including onsite dedicated resourcing, dispatch technicians, and remote assistance through people, processes, and technology. The DWS Solution Architect has responsibility for ideating on and developing technology-based answers to business outcomes that our clients are looking to solve. These answers are then leveraged into full solution offerings which the Solution Architect will help curate with the relevant Solution Manager. The overall solution portfolio and offerings are then marketed to the wider Unisys community and client base through the foundation conceived by the Solution Architect. This includes ideation, experimentation, collateral development, partner engagement, supporting the go to market strategy and enablement, and continuous improvement of the solutions delivered. The DWS Solution Architect is primarily focused being a thought leader in their area of expertise and on increasing Unisys\' reputation and solution toolkit by creating compelling solutions that meet our client\'s business outcomes and requirements across a wide range of industry verticals. They work as a trusted advisor to our internal and external stakeholders in respect to their scope, providing insight and guidance on future innovations and technical roadmaps. The individual is responsible for transforming our processes, people, technology, and culture, focused on the quality of customer experience at all levels, and acts as a true solution pioneer, ensuring needs are heard, and are answered through innovative designs. Collaboration across cross-functional teams is mandatory to analyze existing and new capabilities and technologies, identify areas for improvement, and architect innovative solutions that transform DWS to the next level. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of capabilities and best practices in the industry, along with excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills. This person is responsible for managing the technology and solution architecture effort from start to finish, including design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions in conjunction with the Solution Development team where appropriate. They will work closely with various functional and technical teams to translate business requirements into optimized, highly available, high performing solutions. Key Responsibilities Takes a leadership role in solution architect design, service excellence and continuous improvement. Considers how technology and solution capabilities fit into the overall DWS strategy and roadmap. Leads the research, ideation, and creation of technology-based answers to business outcome needs. Supports all elements of the PLM process from MVP to Launch including artifact development. Adheres to solution and roadmap plan schedules to meet launch commitments. Partners with Service Delivery to ensure that all developed technologies are operationally viable. Engages with Channels& Alliances along with Partners directly to deliver co-innovated solutions that deliver extra \'stickiness\' and joint winning opportunities. Works with technical teams to put together technical reference architectures and demos. Demonstrates thought leadership by publishing blogs, papers, journals, presentations, etc. Participates in industry analyst sessions or partner events such as briefings, presentations and responses to further Unisys reputation and credibility in the industry. Evolves our solutions to the ever-changing market landscape and in tune with clients\' needs. Works closely with other architects, leads, internal business and technical stakeholders including ability to present technical solutions while showing a strong understanding of business activities and objectives. Supports delivery of Unisys portfolio strategy presentations to clients including features, implementation approach, technical requirements, impacts, and benefits. Provides input to technical estimates created with standards tools, portfolio Work Breakdown Structures, statements of work and industry standard estimating techniques. Adheres to architectural artifact requirements and architectural best practices. Participates in design peer reviews and internal project reviews. Should be able to Support the technology with the business and client goals, identifying benefits and risk mitigation approaches associated with the proposed solution. Stay up to date with the latest ideas, functionalities, and industry trends, and proactively suggest enhancements or optimizations. You will be successful in this role if you have: Skills And Qualifications University degree and/or 8-12 years of related experience, with a minimum of 3 years field service operation experience Open-minded, working as transparently as possible always considering possible, use case scenarios while planning innovations and considering the future, Ability to gain buy-in and cooperation from a wide range of stakeholders without direct authority, Comfortable working in innovative technology and in a fast-paced environment, Curious, hands-on, and pragmatic character, Self-motivated and able to work in a hybrid work environment including remotely, Understanding of deal financials with a basic understanding of accounting principles, Experienced creating solution focused roadmaps, Familiar with project management concepts including project scheduling, risk management, estimation (infrastructure estimation / IT Service estimation), Work Breakdown Structures, requirements management / traceability, Change Management, etc. Ideally, has direct experience as a field engineer or managing a team of field engineers, Strong knowledge of relevant portfolio area and a focus on creating standards and innovations, Experienced in architecting solutions to launch products to market successfully, Initiative-taking, consultative and an excellent problem solver, Specific Frontline Field Services experience and knowledge including: Frontline worker enablement for field technicians including best-practice training, Mobile-friendly capabilities for technicians including ServiceNow and Salesforce, Latest innovations in providing user support via remote deflection, Innovations in technology that support end user scheduling, IT service management, and hardware and software asset management. (Including CMDB, use of augmented/merged reality, onsite/virtual tech caf , etc.), Field Services task automation including robotic process automation and API integration, Operational, productivity analytics and quality management, Latest innovations in workforce training enablement tools and techniques, Global logistics, parts and inventory management technologies and processes, Predictive maintenance and analytics, Other relevant, new opportunities to support Frontline field services workforce and clients.
