Job Description

The Soldering Technician is responsible for performing

manual soldering

of electronic components on PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) following IPC standards and customer specifications. This includes through-hole and/or surface mount soldering, rework, and inspection to ensure high-quality, reliable assemblies for electronic products. The technician ensures proper handling of ESD-sensitive components and compliance with safety and quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Soldering & Assembly:

Perform

manual soldering

of through-hole and/or SMT components using soldering irons and other tools. Carry out

rework and touch-up

operations on defective or incomplete assemblies. Assemble components per

work instructions, drawings, and process sheets

.
Quality & Inspection:

Inspect solder joints visually and ensure compliance with

IPC-A-610 standards

. Identify and correct

cold joints, solder bridges, or insufficient soldering

. Report any defects or process deviations to supervisors or quality control.
Production Support:

Follow

daily production schedules and targets

for soldering tasks. Work collaboratively with team members to meet output, quality, and delivery goals. Assist in

line setup and changeovers

for different product batches.
Compliance & Safety:

Handle

ESD-sensitive components

using appropriate ESD controls and PPE. Adhere to company policies regarding

safety, quality, and 5S practices

. Ensure proper

maintenance and cleanliness

of tools and workstation.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Good

hand-eye coordination

and attention to detail. Basic knowledge of

electronic components

and

assembly techniques

. Ability to read

assembly drawings, process sheets

, and work instructions. Familiarity with

IPC standards (especially IPC-A-610)

is an advantage. Ability to use

soldering irons, tweezers, magnifiers

, and other hand tools. Team player with a

positive attitude

and commitment to quality.

Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma in

Electronics, Electrical, or related trade

. 1-3 years of experience in

manual soldering

in an EMS or electronics manufacturing environment.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
