Solar Sales Manager

Job Description

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and mentor solar sales consultants, providing ongoing coaching to improve closing rates and product knowledge.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share in specific territories, including rooftop, utility-scale, or off-grid segments.

Revenue & Target Management:

Set monthly and annual sales quotas, monitor performance through KPIs, and prepare regular forecasts for senior leadership.

Client Acquisition:

Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing large-scale deals.

Technical Guidance:

Oversee site assessments and work with engineering teams to ensure proposed solar solutions meet customer energy requirements and local regulations.

Market Analysis:

Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and government incentives such as net metering or tax rebates.

Relationship Management:

Cultivate strong partnerships with EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), developers, and channel partners.

Skills & Qualifications



Education:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering.

Experience:

Most roles require 3-5+ years in sales management, specifically within the renewable energy or solar sector.

Technical Proficiency:

Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, and storage solutions; proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Excel.

Soft Skills:

Strong negotiation, public speaking, and interpersonal skills to build trust with diverse client bases.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,153.24 - ₹55,035.12 per month
