About the team

A Horizontal team maintained as a centralized service and shard across the organization specializing in performance testing. It is a core unit that involves standardized performance testing processes, formal metrics, required tools, and expert professionals.

What you will be doing

This position responsible for developing and executing formal performance test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation, performance test execution and analysis of performance test results.

What you bring:

Areas of Responsibility:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in Performance Testing and exposure to different Performance Testing tools and frameworks
  • Excellent skills in Performance Testing using JMeter (minimum 3+ years of experience in JMeter); Should be an expert in Scripting, Test execution, Report Generation and Analysis using the JMeter tool
  • Hands-on experience in monitoring, analysing results and reporting performance bottlenecks
  • Ability to work independently on project performance testing with minimal supervision
  • Good knowledge on 3-tier architecture, Application and DB layer for good understanding of test environment
  • Experience in Web, Web-services and Middleware performance testing
  • Well versed with Effort Estimations based on the NFRs from the client/stakeholders
  • Experience in setting up the performance test environment, performance testing strategy, Workload Model creation etc
  • Expertise in analysing system logs and performance test results, application performance
  • Good experience with monitoring Windows & Linux servers and knowledge of Performance tuning
  • Understands a broad spectrum of technology in order to provide detailed technical design to meet requirements
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present and share information across a wide array of technical expertise and seniority within the organization
  • Take ownership of tasks and help set standards and drive delivery
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of methods, tools and technology used in software testing
  • Knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets needs of client/business partner
  • Knowledge of basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies
  • Knowledge of primary database engines with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries to be used for data validation and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of object-oriented development tools, techniques and principles with expertise in at least one object-oriented language
  • Knowledge of functions, features and components of existing and planned operating systems and applications
  • Skill in understanding and focusing on the client needs
  • Skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving
  • Ability to work in an agile development environment where developers and testing personnel work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills working with technical and non-technical individuals
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors and public
