Summary:
We are looking for an individual with test automation development experience who can help us both accelerate our delivery in an Agile environment and improve the quality of our applications by being embedded in the product delivery team and assisting with early test automation that can be run continuously. The successful candidate must be capable and willing to take the QA process from end-to-end, from functional requirements gathering to developing and executing manual and automated tests of project features, focusing on getting the right stuff automated in the right way, as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Fitting into, and significantly contributing to existing Agile Scrum teams
• Helping create/promote a culture of learning in which creativity can flourish
• Verification of functionality and ensuring acceptance criteria and
• Build advanced automated test suites to exercise our enterprise applications.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and help implement automation enhancements.
• Help define, promote, and ensure adherence to quality assurance processes such as test plan reviews, defect management, risk/complexity analysis, and regression test maintenance.
• Understands application requirements and can help design features to make them easily testable
• Clarifies how features should work to eliminate ambiguous requirements
• Writes and executes regression tests
• Writes, Maintains and Uses test automation tools independently
• Analyzes patterns of defects to determine opportunities for improvement in the product

Required skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years experience in a QA/test automation/development role
• Strong functional and automated testing, test strategy and planning, writing detailed test cases based on user scenarios and deep technical knowledge.
• Experience of developing with automation test tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Junit, SoapUI, Cucumber , TestCafe framework or equivalent
• Strong problem solving and investigative skills, with the drive to get to the root of the problem.
• Ability to collaborate and work on complex problems in stringent timelines
• Usage of automation/performance tools and able to write end to end automation scripts.
• Ability to programmatically test the product, measure test coverage, develop the best automation, drive testability and diagnostic ability into the product, while promoting best practices in quality areas
• A complete understanding of lean and agile methods of software delivery and the principles and practices of BDD, ATDD and TDD
• Understanding of multi-tier web application architecture and deployment.
• Cloud testing experience
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

Beneficial skills:

• Knowledge of software technologies:
  • UI testing experience , ReactJS , NodeJS
  • Cloud environment setup and configuration – GCP preferrable
  • Testing of RESTful web services
  • SQL and general Database development
  • Spring Framework/Spring Boot
  • Git
  • Build and Deployment Pipeline technologies: Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Chef, Docker, Nexus
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Toolset (Confluence, Jira, Crucible) or equivalent
• Familiarity with Test management software such as HPQC, Zephyr or equivalent
• Operating in an Agile development environment, familiarity with Agile principles and practices and Test or Behaviour Driven Development.
