Team Overview The Technology & Engineering function is led by our Chief Information Officer (CIO), and our Product function is led by our Chief Product Officer (CPO) and founder. We are investing heavily in product, data and technology capabilities, enabling us to deliver our clients innovative products and solutions and deep insight market intelligence. The Product, Engineering & Technology (PET) team is a talented team of product managers, designers, engineers, technologists, business analysts, and change specialists with entrepreneurial and innovative mindsets. What will you do As the new Software Engineering Manager, you will hold a critical role in the creation and leadership of new engineering teams in Mumbai. Continuing our ethos of team empowerment and collaboration, you\'ll recruit, retain and guide a strong engineering team, covering all aspects of technology solutions that we use to support the various Third Bridge business units. You\'ll be a strategic business partner, ensuring technical solutions enable business outcomes: challenging and questioning business requirements, proposed solutions and technology choices. Adopting an agile mindset, you\'ll enable the team to manage multiple priorities, adapt to change, and evaluate results to deliver continuous improvement. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, you understand the business\' needs and ensure the solutions your teams deliver are on time, of quality, and are performant and supportable. Using your own delivery background and successes to offer support and mentorship to the engineers, you\'ll ensure the teams\' solutions are well-defined and understood. Your teams will be made up of junior and senior software engineers across various technologies, who shall, under your leadership, be nurtured and matured to help them achieve their career goals. Qualifications What will you bring As a leader of development or engineering teams across multiple technologies, you are now looking for a role where you can build new teams from scratch, making a big impact on an international business. You understand complex business environments and work effectively with stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes that meet business\' needs. You\'ve managed a number of workstreams simultaneously, and teams of various technologies and disciplines. You have an agile mindset, recognising the strength of a collaborative team. You understand that together you can deliver quickly, adapting and adjusting to a changing commercial landscape. You empower your team members to share their views and ideas, helping every engineer in the team to find their voice, ensuring they\'re heard and their view points are taken on board. You have built your leadership on a successful engineering and delivery background in modern tech, including but not limited to: C# Java Javascript AWS SaaS applications You\'re able to use this background to support the teams\' guiding principles, know when to be hands-on and coach or mentor junior engineers. Your relationship building skills have enabled you to be a trusted advisor to the business, allowing you to guide and advise business owners on the best technical solutions to meet their needs. You can confidently manage conflict and achieve positive outcomes with team, stakeholder and supplier issues. Whilst you understand the power is in the team, you\'re a strong leader too, able to make tough decisions for the benefit of the team and the business.
