Software QA Associate Manager


Location: Gurugram

The Software QA Associate manager will play a pivotal role in software development activities and long-term initiative planning and collaboration across the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization. Software Engineering is the corner stone of scalable digital transformation across PepsiCo\xe2\x80\x99s value chain. You will work closely with the user experience, product, IT, and process engineering teams to develop new products and prioritize deliver solutions across S&T core priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in creation of test plan, test strategy, test scenario and test case and provide estimate of QA effort
  • End-To-End responsibility for functional testing of new features, including both writing the STD and automating it
  • Identify gaps in regression test automation coverage
  • Scale test automation to cross OS, Devices and beyond.
  • Design and automate cross-functionality integration tests
  • Work with a project team to build E2E performance engineering solutions by understanding the application landscape, end user behavior and business requirements
  • Play a major role in designing and maturing the automation framework
  • Participate in full product release cycles, from feature design to version release
  • Day-to-day leadership, management & support of Testing projects, oversee implementation, supporting infrastructure, and ongoing maintenance of the test suite.
  • Act as a QA sign-off for Release Committee to validate test coverage, execution, results and general quality standards of the Platform.
  • Develops reporting metrics and KPIs to measure the performance, quality and on-time delivery of the Software Test team; works with Test Managers to maintain dashboard metrics; produces monthly software test performance reports for executive leadership.
  • Responsible for Testing sign off for releases, working closely with the Test Leads and Build Managers
  • Take ownership of the test estimation Process and deliver estimates as per the defined SDLC.
  • Ownership of overarching Delivery Test strategies and Test Approach for project.
  • Ensuring QA/Testing Process and Procedures are followed across each project and team.
  • Lead multi-discipline, high-performance work teams distributed across remote locations effectively. Build, manage, develop, and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Interact with executives across the company to lead the narrative around software engineering
  • Develop and expand DPS capabilities through a customer obsessed, services-driven digital solutions platform that leverages data and AI to deliver automated and personalized experiences
  • Manage and appropriately escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to the engineering initiatives to the stakeholders
  • Interact with key business partners to recommend solutions that best meet the strategic needs of the business
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant software testing experience with delivery experience.
  • Expertise / Programming experience in at least in one Code language (Java, Python, JS/Typescript)
  • 9+ years of experience in the automation in Tools like Appium(Mandatory), WebdriverIO, Selenium, Test NG, Maven, Git, Jenkins, SOAP UI, Java script, Xpaths
  • A good amount of exposure to Mobile automation on different Operating Systems (iOS, Android, Windows Phone)- 5+Yrs
  • Expertise in practical knowledge of debugging tools on web and mobile platforms
  • Expert in API Automation testing and exposure to REST API framework , Automation experience using any of the tools \xe2\x80\x93 Postman, Rest assured will be effective for the role.
  • Strong Experience in Integration testing (SIT) and ability to understand the system/Data Flow architecture and guide the team to build effective test scenarios.
  • Good Experience working with SQL and large volumes of data.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration (preferably - Azure)
  • Thorough understanding of the role and the place of QA in SDLC, testing processes and methodologies
  • Knowledge of Espresso & XCUITest (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of white box testing (nice to have)
  • Exposure about Device Farms like browserstack ,Saucelabs
  • Experience working in distributed team (nice to have)
  • Experience in Android platform is a plus
  • Good understanding on SOLID design Principles and Performance testing principles.
  • Strong QA and Automation experience as part of career progression.
  • Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
  • Expert in implementing and optimizing agile development and continuous integration / continuous delivery methodologies
  • Experience with Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and cloud specific PaaS and SaaS solutions
  • Experience with mission critical, 24x7 systems
  • Experience with high throughput cloud native distributed systems
  • Experience in testing and consuming large-scale web services
