OVERVIEW
Software Engineer in Data Engineering is a key role for BI development activities required to enable Business
Intelligence solutions for L Brands.
This role requires hands-on experience in data warehouse, business intelligence, ETL, Snowflake, Cloud
technologies and data development using SQL, techniques, and architecture. This role will interface and work
in collaboration with a highly talented, energetic and diverse BI team and other cross functional (POS, finance,
manufacturing, enterprise planning, HRMS, Supply-Chain and several other systems) teams to devise end-toend
solutions.
Responsibilities

• Develop data flows, data pipelines and validate data solutions developed by team
• Collaborate with report developers to source relevant data and support development of dashboards /

reports

• Provide user support including incident management, data issues & maintenance of daily / weekly

data refresh schedules to meet business SLA\xe2\x80\x99s

• Deliver required documentation for build, validate and support responsibilities, including data flow

diagrams, data validations results in detailed and summary reports

Qualifications

Education
Required: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Mathematics/Sciences
Required Skills / Qualifications

• Must have 3 to 5 Years of extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining

software solutions for a medium to large scale Datawarehouse.

• Experience in performing end to end implementation of Snowflake cloud data warehouse, should have

1+ years of experience in medium to large Snowflake project implement.

• Proficiency with SnowSQL and able to write complex SQLs and stored procedures.
• Ability to fine tune queries for performance improvement.
• Experience in utilizing various features such as time travel, data sharing, events, Snow Pipe,

Streams etc.

• Experience on any enterprise job scheduling tools such as Control-M.
• Hands on experience with ETL tools such as Talend, DataStage, Informatica etc.
• Good to have experience with UNIX shell scripting, Python.
• Must demonstrate best practices for SQL tunning and ETL development.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, unit testing and integration testing.
• SDLC Methodology (Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development).
• Knowledge of Kafka, Python or Java is an added advantage.
• Snow pro certification is an added advantage.
