Who You\'ll Work With:


The Team is envisioned to be results-oriented, Agile and customer focused team. The team will work closely with Product Management, Field SE/TME and other partner teams. The responsibilities will include delivering features over iterations, support PoC/deployments in the field and critical issues from the customers.


As an integral member of this team, you will work with a team of credible engineers. You will have the opportunity to test some of the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest Service Provider Routers that are continuously evolving towards enabling the support of newer and exciting customer business paradigms.


What You\'ll Do:


Develop, improve, verify and sustain cloud-based management software for sophisticated internetworking products as a key member of a multi-functional team.
Perform design trade-off analysis, write software specifications, code, integrate and test new software and hardware, complete product release, and provide field support.
Collaborate with Business Development, External Partners, Hardware Engineering, QA Test and Release Operations throughout the development cycle.
Work with Customers on successful deployments
Mentor junior members of the team through design/code reviews
Engage with architecture team to clearly understand the system design and roadmap
Work in the team using agile methodologies
Estimate design and development activities
Communicate status against planned achievements
Who You Are:


The successful applicant must have a consistent record of crafting and developing high quality software products and should possess the following particular skills and experience. The ideal candidate will be involved in the design and development of next generation Network Design, Provisioning and Assurance product that enables the creation and monitoring of various networking services.


Role & Responsibilities:
Lead a fast paced, high performance team to produce a well-managed, monitored, and resilient software targeted at large service provider customers.
You will be a servant leader of empowered agile development teams, motivate them by providing purpose, and increase their efficiency by removing obstacles.
You will Recruit/Retain a strong team of engineers, performance evaluation, salary planning and budgeting.
You will help the engineering team expand technology and networking knowledge by keeping abreast with the latest developments.
You must have the ability to think at a high level about systems and articulate key tradeoffs in architecture design.
You must lead through collaboration and co-ordination activities across teams and product categories that are geographically distributed.
Maintain effective and structured communication channels with senior leadership team, global engineering teams and multi-functional teams.
Ensure compliance and efficiency with detailed Engineering Processes.
Collaborate optimally with Peers to identify Engineering gaps and overlaps and improve efficiency.
Provide mentoring, coaching to advise staff and indirect staff in order to grow talent to next level.


Required Skills:
12+ years of telecom industry experience with confirmed software design, development and test skills
8+ years of excellent hands-on Network Management/Automation domain, Java and Webservices based
5+ years of Cisco devices & working knowledge of SNMP, TL1, syslog, IOS/IOS-XR CLI, HTTP, REST, JSON, XML, NETCONF/YANG etc.
Hands-on expertise of database, ORM (hibernate) and UML/modeling technologies
Good knowledge of Software Engineering practices, Tools and automation frameworks.
Experience in cross-functional Engineering environment that requires collaborating with multiple product teams.
Good understanding and experience with Quality, Software validation and Automation practices.
Ability to introduce and improve Quality practices that ensure zero defects at FCS, no Technical Debt.
Good communications and presentation skills, assertiveness and the ability to take discussions and
Open issues to closure by working with local and remote teams.


Preferred Skills:
Exposure to client side technologies like JSP, AJAX, Struts, Swing, JSF, Dojo, Portlets.
Knowledge of Microservices Architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ
Strong understanding of Operations concepts such as alerting, monitoring, logging, and health checks.
Standout colleague that works well in collaborative and matrix management situations.
Proven understanding and experience working with high availability, dedication, multi-data center systems.
Understanding of Security technology and challenges.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
