About the Role:
As a Java Developer, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be a key part of our Agile development squad. You will develop exciting, new data-driven solutions that will shape the future of our information business. You will mentor junior team members, share your knowledge, and deliver solutions using your technical expertise.
About the Team:
Our dynamic Agile Team delivers the technology for the latest scientific research to our trusted Open Access journals, making this research available to for the scientific community around the world to access free of charge. The team builds tools to guide and support authors through Open Access publishing.

3-5 Year of Experience in Software development
Must have Proficiency in Java 8
Must have experience of Spring boot mainly with Spring Core, Spring MVC and Hibernate
Proficiency in Elastic search, Docker, Kubernetes
Must have experience with Web Services/Application development.
Proficiency in writing SQL queries (Oracle or MySQL preferred)
Experience with Git, Maven, Jira and other CI/CD tools
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Knowledge of data storage subsystems.
Basic knowledge of applicable development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, XML, SQL, Windows, Linux.
Knowledge of test-driven development or BDD.
Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
Basic oral and written communications skills.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of simple complexity.
Complete simple bug fixes.
Under the guidance of senior-level engineers, successfully implement development processes, coding best practices and code reviews.
Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
Resolve basic technical issues as necessary.
Keep abreast of new technological developments.
