Job Summary:

As a Software Engineer III in Digital investment Banking of the Corporate & Investment Banking business at JPMorgan Chase you will be working on AI/ML , UI/UX designers, product, and engineers to create innovative products that have a deep and profound impact on bankers and our clients in J.P. Morgan.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to develop products in a highly autonomous and collaborative atmosphere.

Job responsibilities:

• Proficiency in software engineering, architecture, and design for applications, deployments, data, and infrastructure
• Expertise with Java & Spring framework
• Hands-on experience with micro-services design and development, adhering to cloud principles
• Adherence to code quality standards and consistent experience with unit, functional, and integration code testing
• Experience with code versioning tools such as Git, etc.
• Understanding of Agile SDLC methodology, including business analysis, development, testing, maintenance, and improvement
• BS/BA degree and Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

• Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience and proficiency with multiple programming languages including: Python, NodeJS, etc.
• RDBMS and/or NoSQL database experience.
• Implementation knowledge of managing asynchronous communication using Kafka or other JMS broker solutions
• Working experience with continuous integration/development using Jenkins/Maven
• Evangelist of software testing disciplines including automated testing and Test Driven Development/Behavior Driven Development
• Prior experience with AWS components such as ElastiCache, S3, EC2, Lambda, Aurora/RDS, etc.
• Experience working with containers including Kubernetes, Docker

• Familiarity with modern front end technologies and cloud technologies
• Ability to create a vision and actionable roadmap with a focus on ongoing innovation
• Ability to effectively maximize delivery of business goals and returns on investment
