Job summary

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase, with Credit Risk Team which is aligned to FRDC, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm\'s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of relevant and progressive software development/testing, systems engineering and/or architecture experience.
• Test development, release and maintenance
• Web, API, UI, functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, load, performance and end to end testing
• Software quality and testing methodologies
• Test automation tools/frameworks (e.g. Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium)
• CI/CD pipelines and tooling
• Experience developing software using Python, Java, C, C++, or other high-level programming languages.
• Command of architecture, design, and business processes
• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Sound technical understanding of Agile development practices
• Experience leading broad cross-functional teams to analyze, design and deliver results
• Must have demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with senior and mid-level management to communicate status updates and issues.
• Excellent communication skills, assertiveness and ability to navigate a matrix organization to extract what you need from stakeholders
• Able to review/analyze existing processes and recommend improvements - push the status quo and can strategize, plan and execute on new vision
• Understand how functionalities are built and can collaborate with the developers to looked at the problem-solution from multiple points of view
• Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) functions is a plus.
