:

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking - Data Technology Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm\'s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Develop, enhance, and test new/existing interfaces. The candidate will be part of existing agile team and will work on developing, enhancing ETL pipelines, and designing solutions.
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and transforming existing ETL logic into AWS and Hadoop Platform
• Innovate new ways of managing, transforming, and validating data.
• Establish and enforce guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and completeness of data assets.
• Experience of working in a development team, using agile techniques and data and infrastructure architecture and scripting languages, is preferred.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - Spark leveraging Python, Java etc.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g. Bigdata technologies - Hadoop/Cloudera/HortonWorks, Spark etc.)
• Expert level knowledge of using SQL (Oracle/ Teradata or any other RDBMS) to write complex, highly optimized queries across large volumes of data
• Development experience using AWS analytics services such as Athena, Redshift, Lake Formation, Glue, QuickSight, Tableau and EMR
• Experience with SCM / DevOps / CI/CD tools & processes (GIT/Bitbucket, Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Sonar, CTRL M), Agile Methodology and Tools (JIRA)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Professional work experience designing and implementing data pipelines in a cloud/ big data environment is required.
• Experience working with Databricks/ Snowflake preferred.
• Data Architecture and Modeling experience
• Leadership and talent development experience
