About the Role

• This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line

• The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.

About the Team:

• Develops and manages a few application portals for insurance products and visualization reports.
• Develop and manage an SSO application using SAML for other portals within the organization.
• Work on a centralized logging system using ELK stack.
• Work on cloud migration to azure

Responsibilities:

Relevant: 3+

Primary Skill Set: React JS

Secondary Skill Set: Node JS

• Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
• Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Resolve technical issues as necessary.
• Keep abreast of new technological developments.
• Complete bug fixes.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with front end technologies.
• Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Javascript, Java, PHP
• Proficiency in React.js is a must, great to have working knowledge in frameworks and libraries like Next.js, Redux, Formik, Jest etc
• Knowledge of Node.js, Express.js
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD with Github actions and workflows
• Knowledge of AWS ECS Fargate clusters, S3 and other cloud concepts is good to have.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols like OIDC - OAuth 2.0
• Proficiency in writing code with best security practices.
• Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Knowledge of data storage subsystems.
• Knowledge of test-driven development.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
