Bentley Systems Software Engineer, Structural Would you like to be part of a product development team that is synonymous with advanced analysis and design in the structural engineering world? Does the idea of creating ‘Software for Engineers’ inspire you? Bentley's STAAD software development team is now looking to expand and would love to hear from top-notch engineers with a proven interest in software development, preferably within a Concrete Design domain. The team is responsible for maintaining and updating the program with the latest analysis and design features that has helped STAAD.Pro become one of the most versatile tools for Structural Engineers around the world. As part of the team, you would be contributing to further enhancing the core of the product using a mix of latest and existing platforms and technologies.
Your day job:

• Design, develop and maintain the core design modules with a focus on various concrete design codes.
• Develop software algorithms primarily using C++/C# on Windows platforms.
• Prepare design specifications, calculations and detailed documentation as part of the development process.
• Collaborate with other team members to accomplish the development objectives.
• Explore, learn and implement new techniques and technologies to further develop the software and of course, yourself!

What we are looking for: A Structural Engineer with a real passion for writing software. We are very keen to hear from you if you:

• Have a thorough understanding of structural/civil engineering principles with a strong mathematical background.
• Have a sound understanding of concrete design principles and/or design using other materials.
• Have a very strong aptitude for developing software and/or can demonstrate your coding acumen using any language.
• Have good understanding and/or experience of algorithm development and numeric computation.
• Are able to develop tools & tests to discover and validate vulnerabilities in the software.
• Thrive on problem-solving.
• Have good communication skills and can work under minimum supervision.

Desirable, but not essential:

• Practical experience in an engineering design office or in an academic environment.
• Proven experience in software development.
