As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm\'s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
• Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
• Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
• Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 6+ Years of Software development with Proficiency in one or more programming languages with hands on Java/J2EE/Spring Framework & REST Web service Implementation experience.
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets such as Eclipse/Intellij, Jenkins/Jules, GIT, Maven build
• Work with distributed teams, conduct software analysis, involve actively in developing technical designs, develop, test, debug, write automated tests, deliver and maintain highly scalable and distributed applications using Java & J2EE, Messaging - JMS, Apache Kafka and adopt cloud technologies
• Must have practical experience with unit testing with preference given to those with an understanding of Testing Frameworks like Junit, AssertJ, and Mockito
• Knowledge on Cloud platform and their usability with respect to Genesys.AWS and Azure to Genesys integration knowledge
• Ability to work in large distributed teams, conduct software analysis, develop technical designs, develop high quality code, test, debug, write automated tests, deliver and maintain highly scalable and distributed applications using Java & J2EE, Messaging - JMS, Apache Kafka and adopt cloud technologies
• Passionate about building an innovative culture and keen on prioritizing adoption of non-functional requirements such as implementation of dynatrace monitoring and splunk alerting

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Exposure to cloud technologies
• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
