Software Engineer II
POSITION PURPOSE:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team in the farming industry. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that optimize farming processes and improve efficiency.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including agriculture experts and data scientists, to understand the unique challenges faced in the farming industry. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will design and implement software solutions that address these challenges and enable data-driven decision-making.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand farming processes and identify areas for improvement through software solutions.
• Design, develop, and test software applications using industry-leading technologies and best practices.
• Implement scalable and robust software architectures that solve complex farming problems.
• Write clean and maintainable code, following coding standards and guidelines.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate data analytics and machine learning algorithms into software applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted operations.

WHO YOU ARE:

• 3-8 years of experience as a software engineer
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, NodeJS
• Experience in working on web technologies or frameworks like react, angular, HTML, javascript, typescript
• Experience in micro-services, cloud native technologies and hyperscaler(s) preferably AWS.
• Good understanding of software design patterns.
• Strong understanding of databases such RDBMS, SQL, NO-SQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and data management.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for agriculture and a desire to contribute to sustainable and efficient farming practices.
