Process Overview

The Risk Function Technology (RFT) organization is responsible for the management and delivery of technology for the bank's enterprise control functions. We also manage GT&O's business operations, business process and controls, workforce management, Simplify & Improve (SIM) governance, and initiative and master planning processes.

Climate Risk is the risk that climate change exposes the Bank to adverse impacts on its reputation, profitability or operations.

Given the organization wide implication of Climate Risk, the CERDP team is building a Data Warehouse using Informatica and Oracle that will potentially cater as Climate Risk ADS.



We have a requirement for a seasoned Industry standard Data Modeler who is conversant with Design patterns and best practices in data modeling for operational, transactional, warehouse, Business Intelligence layer and analytics. They should have a strong Internal and external data perspective, should be strong in Data Warehousing concepts, conversant with conceptual, logical and physical data models, JIRA tools and have sound experience working in AGILE teams.

They should have ability to understand and analyze large volumes of data, complex data requirements and transform model requirements into functional and technical specifications

Responsibilities

• Building Proofs of Concepts to determine fitness of model for requirement
• Deliver demos/walk throughs of PoC
• Understand commonality of data
• Rationalize data model within the working environment
• Provide Data dictionary, data catalog, models for upstream/downstream data consumers
• Transform model requirements into functional and technical specifications using tools such as Visio, create flow diagram, using iterative steps.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, business analysts, feature leads, ETL team and QA Team, to define and solve a problem
• Provide training to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)

Certifications, If Any:

Experience Range: 6-8 years

Foundational skills:

• Power Designer / ERWIN / ER Studio (any data modeling tools), Visio, JIRA
• Strong in SQL - should be able to write complex SQL queries and provide insights to ETL teams
• Strong in Data Warehousing concepts (type-2 dimensions, aggregations, star schema, etc.)
• Strong in concepts of transactional, operational model pattern and methodologies such as Kimball methodology, etc
• Strong knowledge of BI Strategies
• Highly skilled in Excel
• Hands on approach with problem solving
• Good experience with Data Quality measurement/Scorecards, Control, & Remediation along with Data reconciliation techniques
• Good experience with Data Governance process (Identifying critical data elements, metadata, data lineage, data dictionary, data model, Data Sharing Agreement, Service Level Agreement, Data Management Standards)
• Participate in identifying Authorized Data Source (ADS), System of Record (SOR) & System of Origin (SOO)
• Participate in design, development review and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements
• Experienced in technical design with a strong data background/track record of working in a high performance environment
• Communicate with business and technical partners and come up with solutions
• Be a key contributor to initiatives that require technical expertise
• Effectively deal with multiple deadline-driven tasks and customers
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to present the findings to Business users
• Minimum 8 - 10 years of working experience within a technology development environment, with an emphasis on risk, compliance systems.

Desired skills:

• Solid experience in Oracle 11g/12c SQL/PLSQL.
• ETL concepts, Informatica 10.x
• Agile best practices
• Familiarity with data science technologies are an advantage
