About The Role

The Payroll Team builds the full-service payroll product that manages all of the core payroll processing functionality - managing domestic and international payments, handling state and federal tax filing requirements and managing third-party integrations for time and attendance, accounting and pre-tax benefits like 401k, medical deductions. It has an admin portal and an employee-facing app.

As a Software Engineer, you will own/design/develop end-to-end features/modules in product development. You\'ll be influencing the product spec for an owned feature, designing the backend and wiring it with the frontend to launch. Once launched, you\'ll be responsible for any further improvements to the feature.

You will:

• 
  Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders within Engineering (Frontend, UX, etc.) to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• 
  Build features that solve technical problems of high scope and complexity.
• 
  Participate in planning activities, perform code reviews, and contribute to a growing team.
• 
  Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate Engineers on your team to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers to their autonomy.

  3+ years of professional work experience
• 
  Experience building a large-scale platform for web
• 
  Knowledge of building services with Python is a plus
• 
  Strong CS knowledge
• 
  Bonus points if you\xe2\x80\x99ve built a front-end web app
• 
  Tech stack you will be working on: Java, Python, Django, MongoDB
