Title: Member Technical Staff
Role and Responsibilities:

• You will be working on a mix of new development and customer issues
• As an engineer on the development team, you will research various technologies and solutions as you design new features for our existing products.
• You will have an opportunity to work with the other engineering teams across Riverbed to ensure our solutions all work together.
• You should thrive on solving customer issues, working closely with customer support engineers to resolve existing issues as well as identifying product improvements for our wide variety of customers.
• Deliver software with benchmarked quality and customer satisfaction, thereby enabling faster customer adoption.
• Use expertise and creativity for innovative product development and solutions.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Computer Science or equivalent from reputed institute/college/university
• 7+ years of relevant programming experience in C/C++ and Python with strong debugging skills
• Experience and/or Expertise in Linux Operating System, developing frameworks from scratch, x86 Architecture, multi-threaded programming environments and Platforms - Appliance, Virtual and/or Cloud.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle stress and work under pressure.

Highly desirable skills:

• Understanding of WAN technologies, bandwidth, latency and how they affect application performance.
• Experience in porting Python 2 -> Python 3, Toolchain updates, developing APIs and frameworks from scratch
• Experience with any of the following: QoS, Netflow, NAT, SSL, HTTP, CIFS, MAPI, SMB, NFS, VLAN, general routing/switching protocols, Firewall
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Atlassian Tools like Jira, Wiki,
• Any scripting or automation experience is a plus
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies
• Working knowledge of packet capture tools and debugging network packet flow
• Solid attention to detail
• Can work on your own but know when to ask for help
