Minimum qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in embedded software or firmware development. Experience in coding languages such as C or C++. Preferred qualifications: Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience with Linux development environment and git/gerrit tools. Experience bringing up USB-C stack, sensors and other peripherals. Experience building consumer electronics and knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, and customer support processes. Ability to read hardware schematics and investigate hardware issues. Responsibilities Work with a larger team of Engineers and Product Managers to design and develop firmware features. Participate in board bring-ups and work with partners to deliver new Chrome OS devices. Evaluate and help improve firmware code and processes for scalability and maintainability. Collaborate with a global team of software and hardware engineers on new technology proposals and process improvements. Maintain the high quality bar by increasing unit and integration test coverage.
