Job Description


Position Summary As a Software Documentation Specialist at Anaqua, you’ll primarily work with our product, engineering, training, and support teams to create and maintain user-focused documentation for the integrations available in the Anaqua solution.
The successful Documentation Specialist will be very detail-oriented, resourceful, and passionately curious. You should be excited by figuring out how things work, educating others about your findings, and creating resources that enable them to be independently successful.
Your goal will be to reduce support volume and promote user self-servicing by proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, anticipating user needs, and fielding internal documentation requests.
Software Documentation Specialists communicate complex information clearly, concisely and accurately, and without relying on jargon.
We are looking for candidates who have excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
What you
ll do

  • Develop a deep understanding of our product and be able to translate that into user-facing documentation that caters to the typical Anaqua user
  • Own the documentation process for Anaqua from start to finish
  • Proofread and edit documentation contributions by other Anaqua team members
  • Document Anaqua capabilities by sitting with feature teams and reviewing technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Anaqua team to iterate on documentation based on feedback
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand our customer needs and goals
  • Produce engaging content that helps people to quickly find answers to their questions
  • Ship content in-step with rapid release cycles, and to a global audience
  • Publish and maintain high-quality help content and user interface (UI) messaging
  • Manage the production and publishing of documentation
  • Work very closely and successfully with Product to ensure alignment on the Product strategy, coordination of product launches, and drive knowledge transfer and communication across the entire organization.

Who you are...
  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Technical Communications or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of professional technical writing experience preferred
  • You are passionate about learning new skills and concepts and are excited by cutting-edge technology
  • You also like to help others learn, and you have a knack for distilling information and crafting clear and engaging instructions
  • You love learning new tools and pushing the boundaries in order to create engaging content
  • You will blaze the trail for Anaqua users by using new capabilities to create scenario-based documentation that delights our customers
  • You are a problem-solver. You're constantly thinking about the shortest distance between the problem and the solution, and you’re able to convey that in a meaningful way
  • You have an inquisitive mind and you’re not afraid to use it
  • You know when to ask questions, which questions to ask, and how to listen with intent to learn
  • You work easily with other writers, developers, marketing folks, and, of course, with customers
  • Your typical approach to figuring out how something works is to try it and see
  • You like to figure out what’s needed and then get to work!
  • Intellectual Property (IP) expertise desired
  • MadCap Flare expertise is mandatory
