8+ years of professional software development experience
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object- oriented design. Experience programming with a front end Web development framework such as React, is a plus
4+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
2+ years of Technical Leadership experience, leading a team of Engineers to deliver complex projects
3+ years of people Management experience

About the team
Catalog team provides ranking, filter and hydration solutions for Alexa skills and capabilities. North star vision for the team is to create a centralized Catalog of all Alexa capabilities including 1p features and 3p skills that any team can use to showcase their rich functionality to Alexa Customers. This will allow a central repository of all Alexa capabilities that customers can look up for and also makes it simple for Alexa teams to know what is already available on Alexa. The team's mission is to connect customers with the right skills and capabilities at the right time to provide a delightful and engaging experience.
Master's degree in Computer Science
Experience with running customer facing, cloud-based, production software system
Development experience defining, developing and maintaining REST based interfaces
Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical partners
Experience building developer facing products and services
Experience building frameworks for creating applications on various platforms
Experience with speech and language understanding systems
Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment.
Ability to mentor others, make clear recommendations in ambiguous situations
