Amazon is looking for an experienced, talented and highly motivated individual to join our Customer Experience Strategy team in Bangalore, India. We are seeking a software development engineer to join Device eXperience Automation team. You will be part of the team that adds new capabilities with multiple visual / audio capturing and analytic methodologies. The solutions heavily leverage Robotics, IoT, AI and quantitative analysis to challenge conventional wisdom with hard data. As technology is advancing in unprecedented pace nowadays, Amazon Customer Experience Strategy is also evolving with cutting-edge engineering solutions. About the team
As part of the Customer eXperience and Business Trends (CXBT) organization, our team in India owns labs to automatically emulate end customers' interaction with devices. On the daily, apart from core software engineering we deliver onsite and remote support to the auto-scheduled experiments. We expand the customer experience evaluation program by deploying scaled fabrication, followed by hands on troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of both testing and production devices. As a common organization's goal, our team thrives for innovation to scale the service and achieve better stakeholders reach and impact. As the device demand for our lab continues to grow, our customers needs engineers who stand ready to build and scale our production fleet, investigate and resolve complex technical issues at short notice.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
  • Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development.
  • Solid experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
  • Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of production software development or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of software development or testing experience for mobile, control, or distributed systems.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping and other fast iteration methods for product development.
  • Experience in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
