Job Title Software Development Engineer 3

Summary of the role:

Amadeus is at the forefront of improving the travel experience, from the travellers to all the teams working behind the scenes to make smooth journeys happen. The Airport Operation Center (APOC) will contribute to this improvement. This exciting new product provides a virtual solution to integrate and monitor operational data (e.g., information about the flights, passengers, weather, etc.), manage any major event and/or disruption and unify communication channels for all the stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced Front-End Software Development Engineer to join our talented team in charge of building this solution. Based in one of our APAC offices (Bangalore, Singapore or Sydney), you will work alongside Software Development Engineers (Back-End and Front-End), Business Analysts, QA Engineers and UX/UI Designers across the world using Agile methodology (Scrum).

As a Front-End Software Development Engineer, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be accountable for the technical design and delivery of the product interfaces based on the solutions agreed with the stakeholders (Business Analysts, Product Managers, and the customer themselves).

In this role you\xe2\x80\x99ll:

• Analyse needs and requirements, from customer and internal sources, and propose functional/technical solution recommendations with supporting rationale as well as an estimate of the required effort.
• Write and/or contribute to feasibility studies/analysis documents.
• Deliver comprehensive and high-quality operational software, documentation, and unit/component tests necessary for the application.
• Identify interactions and assess impacts with other Amadeus packages/products/solutions to ensure functional and technical compatibility.
• Identify technical risks and take responsibility for mitigating and managing them.
• Establish and improve architectural design of the application.
• Coordinate those interactions from building phase to delivery to ensure the compliance of the delivered functionality.
• Carry out the functional walk-through of the product with the Development team and Product Management.
• Contribute with QA resources to product quality by giving inputs for the test strategy.

Maintain and optimise:

• Troubleshoot and investigate defects raised by our customers to ensure compliance of our products to the specifications and system integrity.
• Communicate with customers on the steps taken to solve the issues.

Create and innovate:

• Provide functional and technical knowledge for Sales, Account Management, Development, Implementation and Support requests.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance to create high quality products and enhancements.

About the ideal candidate, you\xe2\x80\x99ll have:

• A degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent with at least 2 years of working experience.
• Good experience with front end web technology development especially:

• ReactJS / Typescript
• State management, webhooks, Redux
• CSS / Responsive Design
• Github Previous experience of creating MS Teams App
• Knowledge of Azure / Microsoft APIs:

• Experience with APIM and Azure Static Web App is required
• Graph API
• Azure Functions and Azure Web Pub Sub would be a plus
• Experience following Agile methodology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, great team spirit, taste for coaching/mentoring, multicultural approach, good analytical and conceptual thinking, customer focus.
• Experience in the Travel IT industry is a plus.
