The role is for Functional Safety of IP/Subsystem/SoC Design in the System Solutions Group (SSG). At SSG, we are a team of experts in various Synopsys technologies to deliver architecture, design, verification, implementation, tools, methodology to enable our customers complete their most challenging SoC Design projects. Our work spans from sub-blocks to full turnkey end-to-end SoCs. Our customers range from start-ups to industry leaders, commercial companies, and government agencies.As part of this role, you can expect to develop and deliver your expertise in Functional Safety while working on activities such as SoC/IP Safety Concept/Architecture, SoC/IP Safety Analysis, Fault Injection Verification, Safety Mechanisms Implementation. The role will expose you to various innovative technologies deployed for Functional Safety for Semiconductors.Responsibilities

• Understand the SoC/IP Architecture and develop SoC/IP Safety Concept and Safety Architecture.
• Develop Safety work products such as FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, FTA for Automotive IP/SoCs.
• Perform Fault Injection Verification to measure the Diagnostic Coverage for Safety Mechanisms using Synopsys tools and methodology.
• Perform Safety Mechanism design and insertion in IP/SOC Design using Synopsys tools and methodology.
• Work with Synopsys customers to understand their needs and define Functional Safety scope and activities.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre and post silicon verification teams to accomplish your tasks.
• Work with other Synopsys teams including BU AEs and Sales to develop, broaden and deploy Functional Safety solutions.
• Ramp-up on new Functional Safety tools and methodologies using Synopsys Products to enable customers.

Required

• B.E/B. Tech/M.E/M. Tech in electronics with 2+ years\' experience in Functional Safety domain.
• Prior work experience in development of safety work product related to safety standards such as ISO26262, IEC61508 etc.
• Good understanding of SoC/IP Architecture and ability to analyze failure modes for various parts/sub-parts.
• Knowledge of safety mechanisms deployed at semiconductor level to detect/prevent failures.
• Preference for candidates who have experience with:

• Developing ISO26262 work products for semiconductors (IP or SoC), OR,
• Have experience with Fault Injection Verification to estimate Diagnostic Coverage for semiconductors IPs. OR,
• Have experience with design and implementation of safety mechanisms for semiconductors. OR,
• Have experience of using ISO26262 work products developed for semiconductors for automotive domain and have strong motivation to learn about semiconductor safety development.
• Functional Safety certification (ISO26262) is desired.
• Strong desire and motivation to become a Functional Safety Expert.
