We are currently seeking a Digital Engineering Staff Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karn\xc4\x81taka (IN-KA), India (IN).

• Ideal candidate has been supporting traditional server based relational databases (SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL) for over 10 years out of which last 5+ years in public cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
• 5+ years of strong DBA experience in SQL Server 2008/2012/Above versions
• 5 + years of strong DBA experience in Oracle Database version 11g and 12c,19c and on Oracle RAC, Golden Gate and Data Guard
• Experience in designing, planning, and migrating large-scale customer databases from traditional infrastructure to Azure Cloud or from other cloud platforms to Azure/AWS.
• Knowledge/hands-on experience on Azure and AWS PaaS/RDS databases, Cosmos DB, Redis Cache, Amazon Aurora, MongoDB, and DynamoDB is a plus
• Expert in planning, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting of high-availability database environments (Always-On, Clustering, Mirroring, etc.).
• Strong experience in database back-up/restore, availability, performance tuning, health-checks, etc.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing, networking, and storage principles with focus on either Azure or AWS
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD toolchains such as Jenkins, Terraform and Ansible
• Able to work on On-Call rotations and provide support/mentorship at L3 level
• Experience handling P1/P2 calls and escalations
• Must be able to communicate independently with the customer and other stakeholders
• Able to develop POCs and prototypes and propose solutions to automate day-to-day activities
• Implementation experience on process optimizations that enhance database delivery and Customer experience
• Experience in troubleshooting, updating KB articles, Problem Management articles, and SOPs/runbooks
• Be able to independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
• Strong ITIL foundation, Continual Service Improvement and Total Quality Management experiences
• Report weekly to management about abnormalities and critical issues; provide root cause analysis and recommendations; work with infrastructure team, application team and/or other teams for problem resolutions, following the escalation path if needed.
• Great written and oral communication skills with internal and external customers

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of overall operational experience
• 5+ years of Azure/AWS experience as a cloud DBA (SQL Server/Oracle/MYSQL/PostgreSQL, data lake/data warehouse/BI environments)
• 8+ years of experience working in diverse cloud support environments in a 24*7 production support model
• Experience with PowerShell scripting, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, performance tuning, schema refinement and Logical DBA activities.

Preferred Certifications:

• Azure Database Certification (DP-300) REQUIRED
• Azure fundamentals certification (AZ-900) REQUIRED
• AWS Certified Database Specialty - Desirable
• MCTS, OCP, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus

Four Year BS/BA in Information Technology degree or equivalent experience
