Required Skill Technology - Storage|Knowledge of different storage protocols such as ISCSI, FC, SCSI, CIFS, NFS etc & RAIDS Technology - Storage|Virtual Interface group creations/deletion/modification Technology - Storage Technologies, Understanding of|Data Deduplication Technology - Storage Technologies, Understanding of|Virtualization - - - Details Storage Administration & Management a. Automate or simplify the monitoring task b. Identify gaps and provide mitigation plans on alerting tool shortfalls c. Simplify the complex environment by proposing consolidation of tasks and/or automating them Manage cross platform connectivity of storages. d. Coordinate with OS Engineering, network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement compute systems that utilize industry best practices to meet enterprise objectives. e. Perform DR test and restoration SAN (Storage Area Network) topologies & SAN components a. Design the storage solution based on different topologies b. Ensure storage is configured in a way that meets the business\'s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO). c. Serve as subject matter expert on the SAN technologies supporting Enterprise Storage, Backup and virtualization platforms within the IMS Hosted Environment and the Corporate IT Platform. d. Adhere to SAN, NAS and Backup engineering and architecture standards and participate in technical review meetings as required. Fabric Switches a. Perform fabric migrations, merging and isolation b. Manage VSANs, switch architecture, upgrade procedure, software installations Tools & Active Management a. Manage replications like Snapview, Time finder, SRDF, Mirrorview b. Work on multipath management applications c. Manage third party migration tools Host Integration & provisioning a. Work on multiple storage / hosts platforms. b. Registering HBAs, masking, mapping, provisioning. c. Handle escalation from OS teams. Technical Skills a. Storage and Backup Administration (P) b. SAN Protocols, Networking Technologies c.
