SME - Master Data Steward

POSITION PURPOSE:

Master Data steward role is responsible for the management and proficiency of data stored in Masters. Administer the available data in compliance withdefined process and regulatory obligations.
We are looking at candidates steadily working in the background, building systems that make sure the information in masters stays accurate and up todate, ultimately improving efficiencies.
As data stewards, they need to build a more data-focused culture, share best practice trends in data use and advocate for the proper use of and attentionto details.
Role needs to work in close collaboration with different teams, processes and centres across.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The data steward is responsible for collecting, collating, and conducting assessment of accuracy of data and perform cleansing activity.
• Work with teams to establish & implement process for detection and correction of data-quality issues.
• Collaborate to establish & implement policies, procedures, documentation and internal controls affecting the quality of data.
• Engage in ongoing and detailed evaluation of data quality.
• To understand the root cause and implement corrective measures.
• Collaborate to identify and implement improvement opportunities to make process more robust and complaint
• To evaluate any suspected or actual breaches and report them to reporting lead or governing committee.
• Optimize workflows and improved relationships with stakeholders.
• Provides day-to-day support to business operations within / outside of GBS
• To ensure that quality of data meets the needs of both the line of business and of the organizations.

WHO YOU ARE:
Minimum Qualification:

• Graduation/Post graduation Degree
• Professional experience (3-4 years and more) in Master Data area, qualified and extended experience in a shared service center.
• Functional Experience in S2P/O2C/R2R/General Services etc. will be good

Experience:

• Professional experience (4+ years and more) in Master Data area, qualified and extended experience in a shared service center.
• Advanced in MS Office; good knowledge of SQL applications, very good knowledge of SAP. Technical skills on scripting and analytical tools will bean added advantage.
• Detailed compliance knowledge as well as broad overview of impacted processes in GBS
• Analytical, Logical reasoning and problem-solving mindset
• Project management experience with different regions/nationalities will be good to have
• Experience in interacting with different stakeholders (LPC/ Business / Finance / SSCDN)
• Better Collaborations and create customer value
