Do you want to work on a team helping to build Shells next generation of applications? Do you want to work with the latest opensource toolset? Join our Cloud Native Engineering team as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

As a SRE you will be responsible for keeping all user-facing services and other production systems running smoothly. SREs are a blend of pragmatic operators and software craftspeople that apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our environments.

As an SRE, You Will:

• Help product teams to develop and deploy on a cloud native environment

• Be on a support rotation to respond to availability incidents and provide support for service engineers with customer incidents.

• Ensure all key services are measured, monitored and raising alerts when needed

• Develop automation of application operation

• Use your on-call shift to prevent incidents from happening.

• Document every action so that your findings turn into repeatable actions (playbooks) and then into automation.

• Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack.

• Develop reliability tools and frameworks for use by all engineers and products

• Research, develop, configure and implement tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery

• Drive efficiencies in products and processes: capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring, backup/restore and root cause analysis.

• Support system falling down and be able to bring it back up to service all the way from infrastructure to the actual code

You Have

• Grit, drive and a deep feeling of ownership.

• Bachler Degreein Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as SRE or equivalent and overall 8+ years of experience.

• Experience in Python and/or C#

• Experience on bash scripting

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Experience with Docker

• Experience with Terraform

• Experience with DevOps in Azure cloud.

• Experience with deployment and support of Azure services

• Strong experience with Azure PaaS and SaaS

• Know your way around Linux and the Unix Shell

• Experience with Service Now or equivalent

• Experience with monitoring and tracing - e.g. Azure Monitor, ELK

• Excellent communication skills; collaborative and personable

• Have an urge for delivering quickly and iterating fast.

• Experience working in a scrum team and can contribute on a daily basis

• Working knowledge of GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins (or other similar toolset)

• Application development background will be an advantage

• Data Science platform/tools experience will be an advantage
