Simulations and Test Automation Engineer

You will be working as Simulations and Test Automation Engineer, reporting to R&D Local Unit for Motion Business Area, System Drives Division based in Bangalore. You will be responsible to participate in refinement meetings to understand the VFD Functions and System Testing requirements and perform in customer-focused Test Automation development activities on drive's firmware or application layer.

Your responsibilities

• Maintain the test defect logs captured during the testing and testing automation development of the assigned product.
• Support the Product owner in coordinating to provide and receive the technical inputs for the project and resolving the technical issues with the global architecture and development teams.
• Support project manager/ owner in the estimation of man hours required for the execution of the project deliverables.
• Maintain the model defect logs captured during the testing and testing automation development of the assigned product.
• Create and execute the Release test descriptions and test plans for the scope of project being executed. If needed also involve in function and integration testing. Based on the impact analysis conducted, in consultation with the product manager/ owner arrive at a solution for the identified defects.
• Resolve customer specific issues/complaints received for assigned products as per the agreement with the L3 and L4 technical support teams.

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 Years’ experience in working with Industrial Drives / VFDs (drives).
• Good knowledge on Drives Applications, drives control loops, Drives Configurations and Drives System Topologies.
• Good Proficiency in the MATLAB / Simulink programming of power electronics components.
• Good Proficiency in the Test Automation using C++/ C# / Python / Robo Framework.
• Good understanding of Test Automation Strategy and Process. (Any Testing certification will have added advantage)
