WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
In this position, you will be :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to oversee the development and application of modeling and simulation technologies for nVent\'s Enclosure business segment. As the Head of Simulation and Advanced Technology, you will be responsible for building and managing a team of engineers, driving improvements to modeling and simulation tools. This role will also be responsible for the strategic development of advanced technologies for core components such as heat exchangers, air flow devices and next generation refrigeration technology.

Spearhead the creation and growth of a high-performing Simulation and Advanced Technology team by attracting, hiring, and developing top talent in modeling and simulation. -
Lead a team of engineers responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining modeling and simulation capability. -
Lead the strategic development and improvements of Component and System Modeling and Simulation capabilities and tools. -
Implement impactful talent management strategies, including mentorship programs, professional development opportunities, and personalized career pathing, to cultivate and retain skilled engineers. -
Facilitate collaborative roadmap alignment across business units by leading productive discussions, resolving conflicts, and driving consensus on Modeling and Simulation priorities. -
Bridge the communication and interactions among Modeling and Simulation areas for: HVAC system modeling, controls and connect to Machine learning platform. -
Lead the activities to improve, standardize, and maintain 1D component and system modeling tools for multiple HVAC & R systems. -
Provide guidance and leadership to designers, lab technicians and other team members in modeling context. -
Scan and screen new technologies in Cooling & HVAC&R space. -
Integrate closely with various functional team members collaborating while enhancing deploy new modeling and simulation methodologies and tools to speed product to market.
YOU HAVE:

Academic background in Master\'s degree in Mechanical (thermal) Engineering or equivalent. -
At least 10 \xe2\x80\x93 15 years of experience in air-conditioning / HVAC system product design and modeling. -
Familiarity with popular industrial level modeling and simulation tools and platforms. -
Expertise in the thermal sciences (thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics), gained preferably from experience with HVAC components & systems -
Familiar with air conditioning products, such as Residential Split Systems, Commercial Chillers, Rooftops, Air Handlers and Transport Refrigeration -
Programming capability desirable. Experience with EES, Visual Basic (VBA), and/or Python for understanding existing codes as well as developing new component models in modern languages/scripting platforms

Experience with 3D CAD modeling tools for mechanical design and analysis. -
Strong planning, problem analysis and resolution, and organizational skills
