• Proficiency in updating the code constantly, and improving the functionality from the previous version
• Must be well-versed with essential Shopify backend development stacks like PHP, Ruby on Rails, Python, & Node.js along with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Developing eCommerce sites on Shopify platform with unique and innovative custom Shopify themes.
• Collaborate with UX and UI design teams to develop robust, and innovative user experiences.
• Ensure connectivity with platform APIs, marketing tools, and Shopify apps to optimize performance
• Perform regular testing and debugging of the applications.
• Optimize the Shopify store for better conversion rates.
• Shopify App Development - worked on Shopify Web Hooks and Shopify API.
• Creating responsive website designs
• Integrating the tools with third-party API for smooth operations like inventory management, product tracking, Marketing, sales, payment integration, shipping methods, and taxes in the Shopify platform
• Migrating websites from other eCommerce platforms to Shopify
• Extending Shopify\'s functionalities to the next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc.
• Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites and Page speed optimization of Shopify sites
• Transforming complex layout PSDs into pixel-perfect presentation-layer HTML5/CSS3 templates
• Working with version control systems such as GIT / SVN
• Producing high quality of work with a strong focus on detail
• Thoroughly QA work prior to submission

About you:

• 3+ (for Shopify) and 5+ years (for Sr. Shopify) of experience in Shopify back-end development.
• Expertise in Shopify theme development and customization.
• Expert-level knowledge of Shopify Liquid templating language
• Proficiency in working with different Shopify JS APIs (storefront, AJAX Cart, Sections, etc.)
• Ability to manage heavy data and transfer it easily & effectively
• Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Strong understanding of responsive web design techniques
• An ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
• Fantastic communication skills and confidence in speaking to people at different seniority levels.
