Job Description

An Electrical Shift Incharge is responsible for overseeing and managing the electrical systems and operations within a designated area or facility during their assigned shift. This role typically involves supervising a team of electricians, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of electrical equipment, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining detailed records. They are also responsible for implementing safety protocols and coordinating with other departments to maintain production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Coordination:
Leading and guiding a team of electrical technicians, ensuring they follow safety procedures and perform their duties effectively.
Equipment Management:
Overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical equipment within the assigned area.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
Identifying and resolving electrical faults and malfunctions, often requiring root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Safety Compliance:
Ensuring all electrical work is conducted in accordance with safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and detailed logs of shift activities, including maintenance performed, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
Communication and Collaboration:
Effectively communicating with other departments, such as operations or maintenance, to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.
Shift Operations:
Ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of electrical systems throughout the shift, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
