Education & Experience Requirement

\xef\x82\xb7 Any Graduate with Government recognized Full- time Diploma in Safety, with 5 years of work experience in full- fledged SHE department of any Public Sector/ leading Private Sector/ MNC with prior approval of the Engineer on a case to case basis

\xef\x82\xb7 Professional Qualification

o Trained Lead/Internal Auditor for ISO 45001 & EMS ISO 14001 (Optional)

Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)

\xef\x82\xb7 Implement EHS Policy, EHS Management System requirements at project level.

\xef\x82\xb7 Deploy organizational EHS Process at project level

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure implementation of EHS control measures.

\xef\x82\xb7 Conduct audit, inspection & review \xe2\x80\x93 enforce implementation of corrective & preventive

actions

\xef\x82\xb7 Proactive identification of risk and implementation of control measures.

\xef\x82\xb7 Incident investigation & reporting

\xef\x82\xb7 Routine reporting to HO EHS Function on project EHS performance

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure implementation of Training matrix

\xef\x82\xb7 Coordination with client and key stakeholders

Key Accountabilities

\xef\x82\xb7 Process owner for EHS process & system at project level.

Key Functions & Responsibilities

\xef\x82\xb7 Develop and implement effective EHS Management system and Procedures and

achieve best EHS Performance at project.

\xef\x82\xb7 Implement the methodology of Plan\xe2\x80\x93Do- Check \xe2\x80\x93Act (PDCA Cycle)

Sensitivity: LNT Construction Internal Use

\xef\x82\xb7 Overall responsibility for steering the implementation of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s EHS

Management system.

\xef\x82\xb7 Work scheduling and monitoring of Subordinate Safety engineers & supervisors.

\xef\x82\xb7 Act as a change agent to drive safety culture.

\xef\x82\xb7 Provide support to line management for implementation of Safety requirements and

prioritize Safety initiatives for successful delivery.

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure continuous improvement in EHS Management System.

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure Implementation of Contractor Safety Management system and further work with

contractors to influence and improve their EHS performance and are aligned with

company standards.

\xef\x82\xb7 Co-ordination with client for project safety requirements

\xef\x82\xb7 EHS daily inspection with concern section In-charge and safety engineer of the area

and recommend effective Corrective & Preventive actions to prevent injuries.

\xef\x82\xb7 Prepare Project Safety Performance Indicator report for the project

\xef\x82\xb7 Conduct Monthly EHS committee meeting with committee members & minute the

proceeding for circulation and follow up action for compliance.

\xef\x82\xb7 Conduct Safety Promotional activities like seminars, workshops, poster competitions,

housekeeping competitions, Video shows etc.

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure compliance of Safety & Environmental Legal requirements.

\xef\x82\xb7 Prepare site specific emergency plan & Conduct periodic Mock drills.

\xef\x82\xb7 Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) & determine control measures for all

activities of the project and ensure its periodic review and update.

\xef\x82\xb7 Incident investigation, root cause analysis, reporting and analysis of incidents.

\xef\x82\xb7 Prepare Training calendar & conduct Training and educational program for Engineers,

Supervisors, Technicians & workers

\xef\x82\xb7 Imparting Fire Fighting & First Aid Training

\xef\x82\xb7 Verify the Permit to Work (PTW) system for effective implementation.

\xef\x82\xb7 Prepare Monthly EHS activity plan of the project.

\xef\x82\xb7 Prepare Project EHS Organogram with specific roles and responsibility.

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure Traffic management system.
