Job Context & Major Challenges
Job Context: Bara Cement Works is a Grinding Unit, situated state Highway No-35 (Prayagraj to Chitrakoot) in Prayagraj District and distance from Distt head quarter to Plant is around 40 Km one way. Unit will have capacity of 4 MTA with 2 lines.
Job Challenges:
1. Reduction of dust emission at raw material storage yard and truck tippler area
2. Reduction of power consumption of at lowest by virtue of process monitoring and modification.
3. Maintaining department incident free against high risk zone due to very limited skilled manpower.
4. Increase in flyash absorption and continuous running of cement mill due to intermittent availability of dry flyash from nearby source
5. To maintain the cement quality as per management quality target due to quality of NTPC flyash.

KRA1 Safety a) Identifying and eliminating unsafe areas, points and practices
b) To ensure implementation of safety procedure, work permit system by providing on job training in department.
c) Instruct to make all SWP/SOP/SMP accordingly identified hazardous area.
d) Creating safe working environment by analysis of near miss. To ensure PPEs having all PF, Staff, Workers and contract workers in department.
KRA2 Day to Day maintenance a) Production volume and product quality monitoring and control on daily basis. b) Preparation of department MIS report on daily basis. Statutory and legal reports to UPPCB & BIS. c) Job allocation and on job training, safety talk to manpower on daily basis. d) Process monitoring and problem solving
KRA3 People Development & System Implementation a) Implementation of SOP, SWP, QMS & EMS etc. b) Preparation and record keeping as per systems. c) To propose training program for skill upgradation & development of manpower for compliance to the systems like ISO, EMS, SAP, Safety etc.
KRA4 Cost optimization a) Preparation of the budget of the section and monitoring expenditure with respect to budget. b) Analysis of repetitive failure and taking preventing actions to eliminate losses. c) Close monitoring of raw material, quality, and consumption to decrease the clinker factor. d) To carry out small modifications, avoiding idle running of equipments and multiple handling of raw materials etc.
KRA5 Inventory Management a) To make Min-Max list to maintain minimum inventory.
b) To maintain minimum inventory so that plant could not suffer.
c) After reducing the breakdown to maintain less spare cost Vs Budgeted cost.
KRA6 Statutory/Legal compliances a) To coordinate and Liaison with the Central and State government offices regarding legal issues related to environment and BIS.
b) Compliances as applicable to us, as per norms of UPPCB and guidelines by CPCB.
c) Product licence compliance and BIS documentation as applicable.
